Folk Time

Services Provided: Folk Time is the epicenter for training in Oregon for Intentional Peer Support Certification. Peer support is a quickly growing movement empowering people with lived experience to share their stories in support of others who are going through similar experiences.

FolkTime offers an opportunity for independent adults living with mental health experiences to come together and create a supportive and safe atmosphere for each other. Forward Stride

Services Provided:Occupational, Physical and Speech and Language Therapy using the horse in sessions for therapeutic benefit. All ages accepted for therapy, the horse is used in sessions for those aged 2 years old and older. Mental Health Services include an equine in the session and are usually not mounted. All ages accepted for therapy. All therapists are licensed and certified in accordance with the requirements of their therapeutic discipline, and all session assistants are specifically trained and certified when necessary. Riding lessons for people of all abilities taught by PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors, ages 4 and up. Vaulting lessons for people of all abilities ages 4 and up. Volunteer Program offers opportunities for people of all abilities, ages 12 and up, to help care for horses and stay active. Riding, Vaulting, and Volunteer programs are inclusive programs, encouraging participants with and without disabilities to reach their goals alongside one another.

NAMI Family to Family Education Program

Services Provided: NAMI Oregon is an independent, grassroots organization, one of 50 state organizations that comprise the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals living with mental illness and for their families and other loved ones through education, support, and advocacy. We offer programs through our 17 local chapters across Oregon, 19 across Washington, both in person and online via Zoom. A twelve-week class for families with an adult family member suffering from a health difference. Classes are taught by trained family members of individuals suffering from a health difference.
