Hello friends and colleagues,
We’re grateful to share that in 2025, Brain Injury Connections NW reached nearly 400 survivors, friends, family members, and caregivers. Together, those individuals participated in our programs more than 3,000 times throughout the year.
That level of engagement speaks to the strength of this community and the deep need for connection and support.
With that growth — and alongside the recent resignation and retirements of some of our valued volunteers — we are navigating an exciting season of transition. To ensure long-term sustainability, this year we will be postponing some of our larger events, like the campout, while we focus on strengthening our volunteer leadership team.
Please know: our regular meetings and core programs will continue as you are accustomed to. This is not a step backward. It is a strategic step forward — one that allows us to build a solid foundation so we can serve this community well for years to come.
As part of that effort, we are actively recruiting volunteers to join our boards, committees, and program teams. We are especially seeking individuals with experience in:
- Legal expertise
- Prior board service
- Program leadership and support
- Volunteer coordination and management
- Administrative support (including Google Workspace)
- Board Secretary experience or strong organizational skills
- Building fundraising capacity and donor engagement
If you have questions, or if you or someone you know may be interested in joining the Brain Injury Connections NW volunteer team or Board of Directors, we would love to hear from you. Please email info@bic-nw.org for more information, or fill out our volunteer inquiry form Here.
Thank you for being part of this community. Your participation, advocacy, and support make this work possible.
With gratitude and appreciation
