Your Impact in Action

with No Comments

Earlier this year, we shared that in 2025, BIC-NW brought connection, community, and hope to nearly 400 brain injury survivors and the people who love and care for them. Together, they participated more than 3,000 times across our 13 programs—finding friendship, understanding, and a place where they truly belong.

Because of your generosity and the dedication of our incredible volunteers, that impact continues to grow. In just the first six months of 2026, BIC-NW has already connected with 326 individuals—reaching 85% of last year’s total participants and 73% of our entire 2025 program attendance.

Even more meaningful, 106 survivors and family members found BIC-NW for the very first time this year, discovering a community where they are understood, supported, and never have to navigate brain injury alone. Through our educational partnerships, an additional 49 students have gained firsthand experience learning about brain injury, helping build awareness and strengthen future advocacy within our communities.

2026 Impact So Far
(January 1 – June 30)

  • 326 individuals connected with BIC-NW
  • 106 new survivors, friends, family & supporters welcomed into our community
  • 2,387 program visits provided
  • 201 in-person participants
  • 147 Virtual participants
  • 128 zip codes across three countries reached
  • 35 dedicated volunteers helping make connection possible

Many participants engage in both our in-person and virtual programs, allowing them to stay connected in the ways that best support their recovery, schedules, and individual needs.

As we continue walking alongside brain injury survivors and their families, current trends show we are on pace to provide approximately 4,700 program visits in 2026—an estimated 45% increase over 2025. Behind every number is a person finding support, a caregiver finding understanding, and a survivor discovering they are not alone.

Together, we are building a community where every person impacted by brain injury feels seen, supported, and understood. Your support makes these connections possible and provides a place where healing, growth, and hope can continue.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping BIC-NW remain here for the long road ahead—because recovery never stops, and neither do we.
